About

The ‘ASCC NextGen’ Chapter is the launchpad for ambitious young professionals, innovators, and students (aged 18-35) within the Serbian-Australian diaspora and the broader bilateral business community. We move beyond basic networking to deliver what drives career success: executive-level mentorship, hands-on leadership opportunities, and a direct gateway to shaping trade, cultural, and investment corridors between Australia and Serbia. 

Initially formed by young professionals turned volunteers during the inaugural Serbian Diaspora Summit Australia (SDSA), the chapter was established to empower the next generation of Serbian-Australian leaders in business, culture, and community. Functioning as a volunteer focus group under the Australian Serbian Commerce Chamber (ASCC), the NextGen Chapter aims to foster youth leadership, provide networking and mentoring opportunities, and ultimately build a lasting network for Australian-Serbian young professionals within the ASCC purpose of strengthening socio-economic ties between the two countries.

To date, the Chapter's key projects include coordinating volunteer operations at the inaugural SDSA, managing the fundraising drive at the 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner in Sydney, and establishing the NextGen Serbia Chapter to facilitate direct cross-border exchange. More exciting initiatives are currently underway!

The ASCC NextGen Chapter is driven by three core pillars:

  • Future Leadership & Career Acceleration: Empowering the next generation through structured mentorship programs, executive alignment, and direct pathways for career advancement and job seekers looking to enter high-impact professional roles in public and private sectors.
  • Bilateral Connection & Global Mobility: Actively bridging the professional and commercial pipeline between Australia and Serbia. We don't just talk about connections—we drive them by facilitating direct cross-border exchange, offering localised market-entry insights, and providing our members with a warm, immediate "soft-landing" in both business ecosystems.
  • Innovation & Diaspora Entrepreneurship: Launching and scaling the next wave of startup founders. We foster a high-performance ecosystem by directly connecting young entrepreneurs with diaspora-led venture capital, technical mentoring from seasoned technology executives, and practical pathways to scale digital products and services globally.
