On 9th of November Australian-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (ASCC) was founded in Melbourne. The ASCC is based in Melbourne, but as the ASCC first president Stanislav Sasha Savic told us, it will have representatives in all major Australian Cities. 15 companies have already joined this non for profit organisation aimed at promoting Serbian interests in Australia that will facilitate trade, innovation and investment between the two countries and the first meeting of all members is scheduled for February.

The ASCC first president Stanislav Sasha Savic and the secretary Goran Drozdjibob have joined us in studio and over the phone to underline aims and plans for the future.
By the end of this year we expect to see the formation of the Australian-Serbian Chamber of Commerce (ASCC) based in Melbourne. The initiative, led by Melbourne based businessman Stanislav Savic, has brought together a number leading companies and organisations to form a premier body aimed at promoting Serbian interests in Australia that will facilitate trade, innovation and investment between the two countries. Sasa who is originally from Belgrade has spent most of his working life in Australia as the senior advisor specialising in taxation law at KPMG, BP and most recently Viva Energy.
